Introduction to the Cybernetica × OffSec Live Event
Cybernetica AS (Cybernetica), in partnership with Offensive Security (OffSec), will organise a live educational event in Tallinn focused on offensive security certifications. Industry experts and certified professionals will deliver presentations, conduct live demonstrations, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions designed for security engineers, IT team leads, penetration testers, and cybersecurity professionals seeking to advance their expertise in offensive security practices.
By registering for the event, you agree to the terms and conditions of the data processing disclosed in this privacy notice.
1. Personal data processed
Cybernetica will process your data when you register for the event in accordance with the applicable privacy and data protection standards. In the framework of the event, Cybernetica may process the following collected data: first name, surname, email address, company name, current role, experience level, and certification interest.
2. Legal basis for the processing of personal data
The processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (consent of the data subject). The personal data will be used exclusively for event organisation and communication purposes and will be processed by Cybernetica. Event reporting may include aggregated statistics such as the number of participants and types of organisations represented to provide an overview of attendance and audience composition. This will be done in generalised form. Names and contact details will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to facilitate the event (e.g., venue access and catering arrangements). Participation in the event and any disclosure of data is voluntary.
3. Storage of personal data
Personal data will be deleted within 12 months following the event date, unless you have opted in to receive Cybernetica’s newsletter, in which case your contact details will be retained in accordance with Cybernetica’s newsletter privacy policy.
4. Involvement of Mailchimp as a Cybernetica processor
Cybernetica will use Mailchimp to manage event registration and communications. Mailchimp’s Terms and Conditions for the processing of personal data are available at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.
5. Rights of data subjects
Consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn at any time by notifying Cybernetica by email at data-protection@cyber.ee. In this case, Cybernetica will cease further processing of personal data, but the data processing operations carried out so far will not be affected by the withdrawal of consent. The data subject has the right to know what data Cybernetica holds about him or her and to request a copy thereof. If necessary, it is possible to request the rectification, restriction or erasure of personal data.
6. Security of processing
Cybernetica uses effective technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and to ensure the security of processing.
